SEAROC GROUP HOSTS FIRST MARINE COORDINATION WORKSHOP
SeaRoc Group has launched its first educational workshop for industry professionals. The ‘Innovation in Marine Coordination’ workshop was hosted on 23rd November 2016 and was attended by marine coordinators, offshore managers and operational managers from across the offshore wind sector.
The group covered a range of topics with a focus on the optimisation of safety and efficiency in offshore construction and O&M phases as well as receiving insight into the new functionality of SeaRoc Group’s leading marine management system, SeaPlanner™.
Dominic Stratton from SeaRoc Group commented:
“The workshop provided the ideal forum for constructive discussions and idea sharing amongst key players in the industry. We’ve made significant developments to our SeaPlanner™ software and it was great to have the opportunity to get opinions directly from the people who are at the heart of offshore operations. We received very positive feedback following the event with all attendees confirming they would recommend a SeaRoc Group workshop to others and would attend again in the future. We are now planning the next workshop for Spring 2017.”
Some feedback from the workshop:
“The workshop was very useful. [SeaPlanner} tools are very advanced.”
“Marine coordinators would not be fully aware of some of [SeaPlanner’s] features so this allowed them the opportunity for discussion.”
“I’d be keen to be involved in the future.”
