Capital Dredging Projects

From 2011 to 2013 SeaRoc Group supported three capital dredging projects managed by Principal Contractors, Dredging International and Van Oord with the provision of the SeaPlanner Marine Management System.

Capital dredging projects require a high level of management in order to control efficiency and safety across the operational site.

SeaPlanner was selected by the Tier 1 Contractors to provide:

  • Personnel certification management
  • Personnel tracking (onshore and offshore)
  • Vessel tracking
  • Vehicle access control provided by onshore boom gates
  • Document management

Gladstone

Queensland, Australia

  • 23,000 vessel movements in the port alone per month across 38 project vessels

  • Tracking an average of over 25,000 personnel movements offshore per month

  • And a further 30,000 onshore movements per month

Wheatstone

Western Territory, Australia

  • 1,623 registered personnel

  • 184 different types of certification

  • 6,303 vessel inductions

  • 38 vessels

  • 155,316 personnel transfers

Ichthys

Darwin, Australia

  • At the peak of the dredging campaign there were more than 300 Van Oord employees being managed live in the system, as well as a range of local subcontractors

  • More than 1000 total personnel tracked using RFID swipe cards over a period of 22 month

  • Across 13 project vessels

  • 3 million cubic metre dredging works at Ichthys LNG Project
